Police has said the person killed in police firing in Birgunj on Monday is an Indian citizen. The deceased is identified as 30 year old Aashish Ram.

Ram died of bullet injuries in the head that he sustained when police opened fire near Shankaracharya gate in the Nepal-India border on Monday afternoon.

Police has recovered two sets of mobile phones with Indian numbers from Ram's body.
